What makes all the difference? Bye bye milk chocolate or low in cocoa, we bet on dark chocolate with 85% cocoa. Keep in mind, dark chocolate is an unlikely dieting partner rich in antioxidants that help prevent fat storage. It also has the advantage of having fewer calories than milk or white chocolate. Here is the recipe for this cake that is as delicious as it is mouth-watering:

  • 180 g 85% dark chocolate
  • 180g sugar-free applesauce
  • 6 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons of corn or potato starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

Regarding preparation: First, do it fFor 180 g of 85% dark chocolate and 2 tablespoons of water. Then pour the melted chocolate into a container and add 180 g of unsweetened applesauce.

Mix everything. Next, add the equivalent of 2 tablespoons of potato starch (or cornflour) to the mixture. Add half a sachet of baking powder.

Leave this mixture aside and now prepare the egg. In another bowl, beat 6 egg whites until stiff. Gradually fold the beaten egg whites into the reserved chocolate mixture.

Pour the mixture into the mold of your choice, pre-greased to prevent the cake from sticking when baking. Finish by baking everything at 180 degrees. Let it cook for 25-30 minutes. Before the end of baking, gently insert the tip of a knife into the cake to check if it is cooked: remove it from the oven unless the tip is dry.
