As we all know, TikTok is an endless source of inspirational recipes. In 2022, several were identified and entered our “for you” pages, which made us very happy.
The holidays are a great opportunity to find some time to enjoy and try some new recipes. Whether it’s entertaining at dinner or just laughing with your BFFs, cooking is a fun activity.
Here are the 10 most popular recipes on TikTok in 2022:
1. Butter Train
We’ve seen it everywhere for a while now, the oil pan burning on TikTok. It’s a great addition to the table during dinner. potluck or as an aperitif if you welcome friends. It replaces a charcuterie plate, or accompanies it!
The popularity of the butter tray comes from its versatility. At the bottom, the board is covered with butter, then the spices you want are added. Honey, figs, nuts, sweet, salty, all are possible. Pour the bread or sourdough of your choice into the mixture.
2. Avocado re-ferment
What’s better than mashed or sliced avocado on a slice of bread? Avocado on potato style black! TikTok offers to make your own potatoes using a roaster and you will have a delicious breakfast or lunch.
Several species provide potatoes black frozen ones that fit well in the freezer. Next, mash the ripe pears with a fork, then spread the paste over your potatoes. Then add the ingredients of your choice such as egg, vegetables, sesame, as desired.
3. Perfectly Round Cookies
Making cookies can be very easy, but finding different shapes can be frustrating. Luckily, TikTok has come up with a simple trick that creates beautiful, round cakes that are perfect for a photo.
When your cookies come out of the oven and are still warm, use a glass to shape the dough into a nice round shape. Simple and effective!
4. Jujube drink
This original, delicious and easy drink only takes two ingredients! Good for fans of to boil tea who wants to try the new Bible at home.
Start by dissolving the gumdrops in your glass half full of hot water. Try natural gummies for best results. Once the candy has melted, put your glass in the refrigerator for a few hours (between 2 and 5) to let the concoction dry. Next, fill the second half of your glass with the flavored milk of your choice, then crush the gummies with a giant tea straw!
5. Rice Cake for Dessert
Sometimes we want a dessert that is easy to make and delicious, but we don’t have any. This recipe calls for ingredients that we may already need to turn rice cake into a crunchy dessert!
Cover the rice cake with your favorite nut butter, be it peanuts, almonds or something else. Melt a few tablespoons of chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. To do this, it is better to heat it in 15 seconds, stirring between each one, for a minute and a half. Cover your galette with melted chocolate, then add a pinch of salt to make it salty! After 10 minutes in the refrigerator, the chocolate will harden, and you can enjoy it.
6. Health Coke
This drink, which claims to be a “healthier” alternative to coca-cola, divided the internet a few months ago. While some people enjoyed the initial taste, others hated the experience. Which side will you fall on?
As simple as anything, the recipe asks you to add a sprinkle balsamic vinegar to the sparkling water of your choice… and that’s it! Some on TikTok suggest flavored water (like coconut) to mask the vinegar taste a bit.
7. Hailey Bieber Smoothie
Model Hailey Bieber has a knack for setting trends, whether it’s her “glazed donut” polish or her lipstick combo. She even managed to make a smoothie go viral by sharing a favorite recipe she called “strawberry frosting.” Available only in the California market, TikTok users have managed to recreate the mix.
Some of the ingredients in the original recipe are hard to find, but this one is delicious too. Blend frozen strawberries, dates, avocado, maple syrup, vanilla collagen powder and almond milk in your blender. Garnish your glass with coconut cream and strawberry jam before mixing it in and voila!
8. Korean cucumber salad
This Korean cucumber salad recipe will be a great addition to any of your meals.
Cut about 500 grams of fresh mini cucumber in a fairly thin half-moon. Put them in a bowl with salt, and let them “sweat”, which means losing their water. After 10 minutes, drain the cucumber and add half of the chopped onion. For the sauce, mix 2 tbsp chilli flakes, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp fish or soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1.5 tbsp vinegar and ½ tsp chopped garlic. Add to your cucumbers and onions and you’re good to go.
9. Cloud Bread
This “bread” takes its name from the sound of the air, which makes one think of a cloud. As beautiful as anything and personal, the recipe is easier to make than you think.
To make cloud bread, you will need 3 egg yolks, 10 grams of corn and 30 grams of sugar. Beat the eggs, then add the corn. Beat again, then add the sugar and continue beating until the mixture is white and holds peaks. On a baking sheet covered with parchment, add your mixture and create the shape you want, like a circle for example. Bake for 25 minutes at 300, and voila! You can add vanilla to your mixture for a sweet taste and food color to make it look like clouds.
10. Fish bowl
Easy to recreate lunches using leftovers and ingredients already in your fridge will be perfect for those days when time is short!
This recipe can easily be modified to suit your taste. Basically, its creator Emily Mariko suggests putting leftover rice in the microwave with an ice cube on the slightly hot side. Then they crush the remaining fish on the rice (you can also use sugarcane). For the filling, they use soy sauce, Japanese mayonnaise and sriracha. You can also add green onions, avocados and cucumbers! Eat all the seaweed and sushi and you’ll be transported to Japan in no time.
